Originally built in 1888, the Arts and Crafts style church holds an Ontario Heritage act designation, and as such, great care was taken to restore the existing brick and stonework, as well as historically accurate reproduction and placement of the stained glass. The 8 units range in size from 1136 to 1511 square feet and each is spread out over three stories and features private outdoor space.
The neighbourhood is surrounded by transit options, and benefits from the great location it finds itself in. Bloor West Village and the Junction are both walkable from Park Lofts, and a vast array of shops, bakeries, cafes, markets, and boutiques that can be found very close by. This is as close as you’re likely to get to a ‘residential’ feeling minus the responsibilities of a detached home, and the lack of amenities and reputation of the developer are likely to leave common element fees modest in the near future at least. Listings here will be rare by nature of there being only 8 units, and are likely to be snapped up fast!
What We LOVE: This is a great residential neighbourhood, and the original church building that forms the bones of Park Lofts is beautiful, and units are huge. There’s some real cachet to living in a converted church, and the Junction is on fire these days.
