Exposed concrete ceilings (“reminiscent of a true industrial loft” according to the builder) are 9 feet high on the first 4 floors, and 10 feet on the fifth.
Amenities in this building are about as minimal as the square footage: a party room and an outdoor barbecue area complete the offering. While finishes in the suites seem to meet current standards, parking is seemingly included in the price and may sweeten the sour taste of a number of suites with 2nd bedrooms that have no exposure to the outside.
This Condo (admittedly we’re hard pressed to refer to this as a loft) fortunately finds itself in a pretty sweet location. Both Dufferin and Ossington subway stations are in walking distance, and Dufferin Grove complete with amazing farmers market as well as Dufferin Mall are both conveniently close. The healthy supply of independent cafes and restaurants, and the retail strip along Bloor contribute nicely to the daily needs as well. All in all, some less than ideal design is likely to be overcome amazing location and budget friendliness.
What We LOVE: The location right next to the subway line and in the exploding neighbourhood of Bloorcourt means this is a great investment in the future of the neighbourhood.
What We Don’t: Square footage is squeezed, and some second bedroom layouts have no external access, so they could be dark.
